Wonder

This book was an amazing read. It leaves the reader wanting more the entire time and it was hard to put the book down. It was take you on an emotional roll coaster, feeling sad and then happy and then back to wanting to cry. It will open young readers eyes into a life that is different from theirs. I would strongly recommend reading this book to any young reader!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

This book is another great read that I would strongly suggest for struggling readers. This book is in the format of a comic books so it has picture to help the read and there are not that many words on each page. Not only is it good for struggling readers, but it is a cute and funny book for any reader. This book will also teach student a valuable lesson to not judge others and that bullying is not right!

This book is part of a David series that the author has published. It has won the Caldecott award for the illustrations! This book will help parents show their children that they cannot do certain things because it will break or they could get hurt. In the Tall, Tall Grass

I would recommend this book for early elementary students because it is simple and introduces bugs. Teacher could use this book during science to talk about nature and bugs. The one quality that is very strong in this book is these of vocabulary. The author uses high quality descriptive words.

The Ugly Duckling

This is a good book to read to children because it will give students something to relate bullying too. It allows students to understand that it is okay to be different from others. Our differences are what make us special. This books as amazing illustrations and adds a twist to the original story of the three little pigs.
